DU’s Miller, Driscoll sweep TicketSmarter #SummitTEN weekly accolades

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.Denver’s Charlie Miller and Caroline Driscoll swept the latest TicketSmarter Summit League Men’s and Women’s Peak Performers of the Week honors, league officials announced on Tuesday.
 
Miller stepped in to fill lineup spots in both singles and double competition and by doing so, helped extend the Pioneers’ unbeaten streak to start the season (12-0). The Glasgow, Scotland native dropped just one game in both of his matches, scoring 6-1 6-0 wins against both Montana and Wichita State.
 
Against Wichita State, Miller made his season debut in doubles, filling in at DU's No. 1 double slot and scoring a 6-3 win to clinch the doubles point for Denver.
 
Driscoll collected four combined wins in singles and doubles to help Denver go 2-0 on the road. The Brookline, Mass., native won both of her doubles match with partner Louise Wikander with 6-3 score lines, including over league opponent St. Thomas.
 
She began the weekend with a straight sets win against the Tommies before coming back from a set down at Minnesota to win in three sets and help secure DU's fifth win of the year against a Power 5 team.
