SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Oral Roberts’ Abraham Chelangam and North Dakota’s Eliana Malnourie picked up the season’s first Summit League Cross Country Peak Performer of the Week honors after record-breaking and personal best performances at their respective meets.
Chelangam won the men’s 6K individual title at the Bob Timmons XC Classic. He took the crown with a new course record of 17:45.63. His victory helped the Golden Eagles to second place, finishing two points ahead of the Power 4’s Kansas State.
Malnourie paced the Fighting Hawks to the Ron Pynn Classic team title. The North Dakota senior crossed the finish line in third place after clocking a personal-best 5K time of 17:54.5.
