KC, USD earn #SummitITF Kwik Star weekly accolades

Kansas City and South Dakota each represented in the latest weekly honors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Kansas City and South Dakota were represented in the season’s fourth Summit League Indoor Track and Field Kwik Star Peak Performers of the week accolades, League officials released Tuesday. Kansas City’s Tory Lanham and South Dakota’s Landon Olson took home the honors on the men’s side while South Dakota’s Erin Kinney and Cassidy Mooneyhan secured them on the women’s side.

Lanham earned the victory in the 200-meter dash at the Show-Me-Showdown by taking the tape in 21.09. Lanham has finished first in the 200 in back to back weeks. He owns the 13th fastest time in the country at 21.01 and also sits at No. 1 on the Kansas City all-time list. Lanham also finished 4th in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.89 seconds.

Olson won the high jump with a leap of 7-2.5” (2.20m). His first-place mark ranks him third in the NCAA this season. The high jump was a personal best by two inches.

Kinney won the 60 meter dash with a time of 7.34 at the USD Alumni meet. Her prelim time of 7.27 ranks her 14th in the NCAA. She followed that performace with a win in the 200 meter taking the tape in a time of 24.26. Both of these times lead the Summit league this season. 

 Cassidy Mooneyhan finished second in the pole vault competition with a lifetime-best vault of 14-6.75” (4.44m) at the USD Alumni Meet. Her mark puts her fourth in the NCAA this season and first in the Summit League
