SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – With the conclusion of the regular season, Oral Roberts and Denver finished atop the standings to share the regular season title. The title marks the Golden Eagles’ first since 2004 and the Pioneers’ first since 2023.
Both squads put together 6-1-1 ledgers, accumulating a league-best 19 points. With a 1-0 regular season win over Denver on Oct. 5, Oral Roberts earned the No. 1 seed and will host the 2025 Summit League Women’s Soccer Championship semifinals and championship match in Tulsa, Okla.
Before the final four teams arrive in Tulsa, two quarterfinal matches will be played this weekend to see who will join the top-seeded Golden Eagles and No. 2 seed Denver.
The first of two quarterfinals will feature No. 3 seed South Dakota State against No. 6 seed Omaha on Saturday, Nov. 1. Kickoff at Fishback Soccer Park in Brookings is set for 5 p.m. CT. The second quarterfinal on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. CT will pit No. 4 seed South Dakota against No. 5 seed Kansas City on the Yotes' home field at the First Bank & Trust Soccer Complex.
In the regular season, South Dakota State earned a 3-1 victory over Omaha in Brookings on Oct. 12, while South Dakota battled Kansas City to a 1-1 draw on Oct. 9.
South Dakota State and Omaha last met in the Summit League Championship in 2023, when Jackrabbits earned a 1-0 championship victory over the Mavericks to advance to the NCAA Tournament. The USD-KC tilt marks the first postseason meeting between the programs.

• Late-match heroics on Sunday afternoon lifted Denver to a 2-1 comeback win over South Dakota, securing a share of the Summit League regular season title. The Pioneers grabbed their ninth regular season title overall and seventh in the last eight years.
• After being down with 1-0, Brooke Ahern found the back of the net for the Pios in the 83rd minute before Hannah Tate delivered the game-winner nearly three minutes later.
• In South Dakota State’s win at ORU, three different Jacks tallied goals despite being outshot by the Golden Eagles 14-8.
• Sophomore Zoe Wittkop was credited with the game-winner in the 48th minute, marking her second score of the season.
• South Dakota and Kansas City tied for fourth in the conference after both teams dropped their final regular season matches, finishing 3-3-2 with 11 points. The Yotes held the tiebreaker thanks to a plus-two goal differential in league play, giving them the No. 4 seed and right to host a Summit League quarterfinal match.
• South Dakota or Kansas City could earn its first Summit League Championship victory as the two teams meet in Vermillion for a quarterfinal matchup on Sunday. The Yotes are 0-5 all-time in the tournament, while the Roos are 0-2.
• In a must-win match, Omaha’s late surge lifted the Mavericks to a 2-1 win over Kansas City and secured their spot in the Summit League Championship.
• After Kansas City’s Riley Porter netted the equalizer in the 65th minute, Omaha pushed with urgency and freshman Addie LaRock delivered the game-winner in the 84th minute.
• North Dakota fell short of making the Summit League Championship despite defeating St. Thomas 5-2 in the final regular season game.
