KC, ORU, UND, NDSU earn #SummitITF Kwik Star peak performer accolades

Kansas City, Oral Roberts, North Dakota, and North Dakota State each represented in the latest weekly honors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Four institutions were represented among the season’s first Summit League Indoor Track and Field Kwik Star Peak Performer of the Week accolades, League officials released Tuesday. Kansas City’s Stephen Clunis and Oral Robert’s Jordan Wenger took home the honors on the men’s side while North Dakota’s Jadyn Keeler and North Dakota State’s Riley Quinn secured them on the women’s side.

Clunis secured first place in the 60-meter dash by taking the tape in a career-best 6.61 seconds at the Crimson & Gold Invitational. The Kingston, Jamaica native currently sits atop the NCAA Division I rankings after the opening weekend of the season. The Roo senior also sits at No. 1 on the Kansas City all-time list, setting a new program record after besting his previous record of 6.65 set one season ago.

Wenger won the high jump competition at the Crimson & Gold Invitational with a personal-best leap of 7’0.25” (2.14m). His first-place mark was the fourth best nationally during the opening weekend of competition and was an inch and a quarter improvement from his previous best set last year.

Keeler placed eighth in the 5,000-meter with a time of 15:14.76 at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener. The Barrie, Ontario, Canada native shattered her previous UND record time of 15:28.29, which she set a season ago at the 2025 David Hemery Valentine Invitational.

The Fighting Hawk senior’s time was the 22nd best in NCAA indoor track and field history and bettered the Canadian U23 record time of 15:17.47, which was previously set by Chloe Thomas of Connecticut last season.

Quinn finished first in the shot-put competition with a lifetime-best toss of 49-2.5” (15.00m) at the SDSU Holiday Open. Her mark ranks her 13th in the NCAA this season and first in the Summit League.
