SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Denver, North Dakota, and Omaha were each represented in the latest Kwik Star Summit League Men’s and Women’s Tennis Peak Performer of the Week accolades, league officials announced Tuesday.
 
On the singles side, North Dakota’s Leandro Zgraggen and Ethel Li took home the individual weekly honors.
 
For doubles, Denver’s pair of Connor Robb-Wilcox and Rikuto Yamaguchi captured the award for the men, while Omaha’s duo of Summer Shannon and Keegan VanPelt secured the accolade on the women’s side.
 
MEN’S TENNIS SINGLE PEAK PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
Leandro Zgraggen, North Dakota (Sr)

• Garnered his second career peak performer award, second of the season.
• Went a perfect 4-0 on the week, all at the No. 1 spot in the singles lineup.
• Defeated FDU’s top singles opponent (0-6, 6-3, 6-2) to help UND to a 5-2 team win.
• Picked up a win over Niagara’s No. 1 player with a 7-5, 4-6 (opponent retirement) score, eventually leading to a 6-1 team victory.
• In the 6-1 win over Fairfield, defeated his opponent 6-2, 6-4 to clinch the match for the Fighting Hawks.
• Clinched the team’s 5-2 win over Oral Roberts with an individual victory of 6-4, 6-2 on the No. 1 court.

MEN’S TENNIS DOUBLES PEAK TEAM OF THE WEEK
Connor Robb-Wilcox (Gr) & Rikuto Yamaguchi (Sr), Denver

• The duo garnered the first peak performer honors of their respective careers.
• Clinched the doubles point for Denver with a 6-4 win against Idaho State.
• Won their third match of dual play at the No. 1 spot.
• Helped DU to win the dual against ISU, 6-1.

WOMEN’S TENNIS SINGLES PEAK PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
Ethel Li, North Dakota (Jr)

• Received the first peak performer accolade of her career.
• Finished a perfect 4-0 in singles play, going 3-0 at the No. 2 court and 1-0 on the No. 3 court.
• Opened her week against Fairfield on the No. 3 court with a 6-2, 6-1 win.
• Moved up to the No. 2 court against St. Thomas Aquinas (6-1, 6-3) and NC Central (6-1, 6-3).
• Closed the weekend with a win over Oral Roberts (7-5, 7-5).
• Owns a 3-0 record in league play so far this season.

WOMEN’S TENNIS DOUBLES PEAK TEAM OF THE WEEK
Summer Shannon (Jr) & Keegan VanPelt (Sr), Omaha

• Shannon and VanPelt collected their first career peak performer of the week honors.
• Went undefeated last week against Drake (W, 5-2) and Northern Iowa (W, 7-0).
• On the No. 2 court, clinched the doubles point against Drake with a 7-6 (8-6) win, eventually helping the Mavericks to the program’s first-ever defeat of Drake.
• Secured a 6-2 win over UNI’s No. 2 doubles pair.
