SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – In March, surviving means advancing, and North Dakota State is doing just that in the WNIT.
After a First Round bye, the Bison matched up against New Mexico State in the Second Round and came out victorious with a gritty 68-65 home win. North Dakota State is now 2-2 all-time in the WNIT and advanced to the Super 16 for the second consecutive season.
In the Super 16, the Bison will host Washington State on Thursday with a tip time set for 7 p.m. CT.

With the win over New Mexico State, the Bison reached the 20-win mark for the second straight season, now owning a 20-11 overall record ... North Dakota State saw three finish with double digitals in the points column in the victory ... Avery Koenen paced the charge for the Bison against the Lobos, finishing with a team-best 17 points and a game-high 12 rebounds ... Abby Krzewinski followed close behind Koenen finishing with 15 points of her own ... She also added three rebounds and a pair of assists to her stat line ... Abby Schulte rounded out the double-figure scorers for NDSU, going 5-for-9 from the floor en route to 11 points ... Schulte also pulled down four rebounds and dished out three assists in the win ...
