SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Denver, North Dakota, South Dakota were represented in the latest Kwik Star Summit League Men’s and Women’s Tennis Peak Performer of the Week accolades, league officials announced Tuesday.
 
For their singles performances, the Pioneers’ Raffaello Papajcik and the Coyotes’ Sorcha Caves picked up this week’s honors.
 
In doubles action, North Dakota’s duo of Leandro Zgraggen and Ange-Kevin Koua grabbed the weekly accolade for the men. The nationally-ranked Denver duo of Andrea Burguete Beltran and Marley Lambert earned it for the women.
 
MEN’S TENNIS SINGLE PEAK PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
Raffaello Papajcik, Denver (Jr)

• Garnered his second career peak performer award, first this season
• Picked up two individual road victories over Power-4 opponents BYU (W, 4-1) and No. 56 Utah (L, 4-3) in the No. 2 singles slot
• Started the weekend with a 6-1, 6-4 win at BYU
• Grabbed a 6-2, 6-4 win at Utah

MEN’S TENNIS DOUBLES PEAK TEAM OF THE WEEK
Leandro Zgraggen (Sr) & Ange-Kevin Koua (Sr), North Dakota

• Zgraggen garnered the first peak performer honor of his career
• Koua collected his first career peak performer of the week honor
• Notched a 6-4 win on the No. 1 court in doubles against Drake
• Helped UND clinch the doubles point in an eventual 5-2 match win
• Match victory was the first in program history over Drake

WOMEN’S TENNIS SINGLES PEAK PERFORMER OF THE WEEK
Sorcha Caves, South Dakota (So)

• Received the first peak performer accolade of her career
• At No. 2 singles, produced the clinching point in a 5-2 win over the Big East’s Connecticut
• Won the first set 6-3 and bounced back after dropping set two to win set three and the match, 6-4

WOMEN’S TENNIS DOUBLES PEAK TEAM OF THE WEEK
Andrea Burguete Beltran (Sr) & Marley Lambert (Jr), Denver

• Burguete Beltran captured the seventh peak performer accolade of her career, third of the season
• Lambert collected her third career peak performer of the week honor, third of the season
• Currently ranked No. 29 doubles team in the country
• Won both of their No. 1 court matches, 6-3, to begin Denver’s league schedule
• In both matches, had the win that clinched the doubles point for Denver
• Overall helped DU to a 7-0 sweep against Kansas City and then a 6-1 win against Omaha
