#SummitOTF Championships kick off Thursday

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The 2025 Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championships are slated for May 15-17 at the Lillibridge Track Complex in Vermillion, S.D. This year’s championships will be the third time in League history that the Coyotes have hosted the event.
 
The championships will begin on Thursday at 1 p.m. CT with multi-events, 1 p.m. CT for field events and 6 p.m. CT for track events.

Watch
All events will be streamed on the Summit League Network. Fans can subscribe to watch coverage of every event for $9.99. A high follow from the midfield press box will be provided for track events while individual cameras will be dedicated to each non-track event. Broadcasters will be provided on the main feed who will cover a mix of all events while individual event streams will have one camera and ambient sound. Coverage of field events may be altered depending on schedule changes due to inclement weather.

Tickets
Tickets will be available onsite during the championships. Single-day tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for youth.

  • The North Dakota State women look to capture their 16th title in the last 17 years.
  • The reigning outdoor champions, the Bison were picked to sit atop the League once again, holding a  10-point lead on North Dakota in the outdoor preseason coaches’ poll.
  • According to the USTFCCCA, South Dakota is headed into the championships ranked No. 11 in the Midwest while North Dakota and North Dakota State sit at No. 12 and No. 13, respectively.

Sara Reifenrath-South Dakota - Reifenrath set the Summit League Outdoor Championship record of 23.20 in the 200 in 2022 and the 400 record of 52.81 in 2024. She will look to best both marks this year. Her season bests of 23.47 (wind-aided) and 52.86 respectively, give her a great opportunity.

Jadyn Keeler-North Dakota-Keeler picked up right where she left off from Indoor season. The Fighting Hawk will have opportunity to break the 5,000 and 10,000-meter record at the Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championship. Keeler ran a season best 15:33.59 in the 5,000 at the Bryan Clay Invitational to rank 22nd in the NCAA. The Championship record is 16:16.48 set by Amber Eichkorn of South Dakota in 2015. The Fighting Hawk Junior ran a season best and NCAA top 10 time of 32:06.70 in the 10,000 meter at the Stanford Invitational. The Summit League Outdoor Championship record in the 10,000 is a 35:18.59 set by Amber Eichkorn of South Dakota in 2015.
 
Averi Schmeichel-South Dakota- Schmeichel will look to best the Summit League Outdoor Championship 400-meter hurdle record of 57.70 set by Jacy Pulse of South Dakota in 2024. Schmeichel ran a personal best 57.98 at the USD Tune Up earlier this season.

4x400- Both South Dakota and St. Thomas will challenge the 4x400-meter-relay Summit League Outdoor Championship record set in 2021 by South Dakota when Gerberding, Jochum, Pulse, and Reifenrath ran a 3:42.05. The Coyotes have a season best time of 3:41.74 and the Tommies have a season best time of 3:42.06 heading into the Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championship.

Marleen Mülla-South Dakota- Mülla will look to best the Summit League Outdoor Championship pole vault record of 14-3.25” set by Gen Hirata of South Dakota in 2023. Mülla vaulted a personal best 14-11.5” at the South Dakota Challenge.

Anna Willis-South Dakota- Willis will look to best the Summit League Outdoor Championship pole vault record of 14-3.25” set by Gen Hirata of South Dakota in 2023. Willis vaulted a personal best 14-9 at the 2025 Mt. SAC Relays.

Grace Emineth-North Dakota State- Emineth will look to best the Summit League Outdoor Championship long jump record of 21-1.25” set by Whitney Carlson of North Dakota State in 2009. Emineth leaped a career best 20-10.5” at the UNLV Rebel Elite.

Kenna Curry-North Dakota- Curry has one of the top hammer throws in the nation after launching a 222-3” foot throw at the Bison Open. She will look to set the new Summit League Outdoor Championship record and beat North Dakota State’s Amy Phillips’s toss of 217-6” from 2022.
 
Lydia Knapp-South Dakota- Knapp will look to best the Summit League Outdoor championship discus and hammer records. Knapp threw a career best 180-0 at the Beach Invite in the discus and launched a 215-4” foot throw at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate in the hammer. She will look to set the new Summit League Outdoor Championship record and beat North Dakota State’s Amy Phillips’s hammer toss of 217-6” from 2022 and North Dakota State’s Katelyn Weimerskirch discus throw of 181-0 from 2017.
 
Arienne Birch-North Dakota State- Birch will look to best the Summit League Outdoor Championship high jump record of 6-1.25” set by Danii Anglin of South Dakota in 2023. Birch leaped a career best 6-1.25” at the UTSA Invitational.

Tory Lanham-Kansas City: Lanham is one of the fastest 200-meter runners in the country posting a career best 20.51 at the Arkansas Twilight. He looks to challenge the record of 20.57 set by South Dakota State’s Coby Hilton in 2021.

Mason Sindelar-South Dakota:  Sindelar looks to challenge the Summit League Outdoor Championship record in the 1500 of 3:45.65 set by Ethan Moe of North Dakota State in 2024. Sindelar’s best time this outdoor season is a 3:44.21

Ethan Moe-North Dakota State: Moe will also be a threat to best the Summit League Outdoor Championship 1500 record that he set a season ago running a 3:45.65. Moe ran a personal best time of 3:43.09 at the Bryan Clay Invitational.

Cody Larson-South Dakota State: Larson could have his eye on three separate Summit League Outdoor Championship records. Larson has already run faster than the Summit League Championship 1500 record when he posted his best time of the season at the Bryan Clay Invitational, running a 3:44.29. Larson also has the 5,000-meter record within his sights. The current record of 14:12.26 was set by Abraham Chelangam of Oral Roberts in 2024. Larson’s best time of the season came at the Stanford Invitational where he ran an 13:34.46. The 3,000-meter steeplechase record of 8:49.89 was set in 2023 by North Dakotas’ Luke Labatte. Larson has posted a career best time of 8:30.96.
 
Matej Hrebacka-North Dakota: Hrebacka will have a chance at two separate Summit League Outdoor Championship records down the 1500 record of 3:45.65. Hrebacka ran a season best 3:45.34 in the 1500 at the Bryan Clay Invitational. The Current record is a 3:45.65 set by Ethan Moe a year ago. Hrebacka will also have a chance at the 10,000 meter record of 29:53.02 set a season ago by Abraham Chelangam. Hrebacka’s season best time in the 10,000 is a 29:47.35.

Abraham Chelangam-Oral Roberts: A season ago Chelangam set the 5,000 and the 10,000-meter record at the Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championship running a 14:12.26 and a 29:53.02 respectively. Chelangam has not run the 10,000 this season but ran a career best 13:41.24 in the 5,000 at the Payton Jordan Invitational.

Artwell Magake- and Caleb Rivera-:- Magake and Rivera are two more candidates looking to break the 1500-meter record in a standout field. Magake ran a personal best time of 3:44.81 at the Arkansas Spring Invitational, while Rivera clocked his personal best time of 3:42.31 at the Cyclone Twilight.

Jackson Dutcher, and Louis-Lys Fanucchi-:- These two individuals are the final contenders that have a season best time under the 1500 record of 3:45.65. Dutcher ran a season best 3:45.29 at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Louis-Lys Fanucchi ran a season best time of 3:45.61at the Bryan Clay Invitational. 

Jack Rosner-St. Thomas: Rosner looks to best the Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championship decathlon record of 7,699 points set by Darrin Steele of Eastern Illinois in 1992. Rosner has a career best total of 7661 points set at the Drake Relays.
 
Zach McGlynn-North Dakota State: McGlynn looks to best the Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Championship decathlon record of 7,699 points set by Darrin Steele of Eastern Illinois in 1992. McGlynn has a career best total of 7697 points set at the Aztec Invitational.
