SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The 2025 Summit League Baseball Championship bracket was revealed by League officials Saturday afternoon with Oral Roberts earning the No. 1 seed for the 21
st time in program history. The Golden Eagles have won the last three tournament titles and 22 overall since claiming their first in 1998.
Oral Roberts shared the regular season title with St. Thomas as both teams won on Saturday to finish with 21-9 records. The regular season trophy is the 21
st for ORU, while the Tommies secured their second straight title.
The Tommies are ineligible for the postseason event as the athletic department wrapped up its fourth year of transition to the Division I level.
The share of the title made the Tommies the first #SummitBSB program to win back-to-back regular season title since ORU did so in 2017 and 2018.
The Omaha-North Dakota State series was shortened to one game after Mother Nature forced the first two games to be cancelled on Thursday and Friday. Those two teams entered the final weekend with identical 12-15 records and NDSU’s 12-2 win clinched the No. 2 seed, while Omaha, who is hosting the event, will be the No. 3 seed.
South Dakota State returns to the tournament after failing to qualify a season ago. The Jackrabbits will be the No. 4 seed and have a rematch against the top-seeded Golden Eagles, who just swept SDSU in a four-game set to wrap up the regular season.
The four-team tournament will be played May 21-24 in Omaha, Neb., as the Mavericks will host the event for the second time in five seasons. All games will be streamed live on the Summit League Network.
ORU tops the field with 22 tournament titles, while NDSU owns two (2014 and 2021) and Omaha (2019) and South Dakota State (2013) have each hoisted the trophy once.
The top-seeded Golden Eagles and fourth-seeded Jacks will open the tournament in Wednesday’s first game at Noon CT. ORU took all six games from the Jackrabbits during their regular season matchups.
The second-seeded Bison and third-seeded Mavericks will play in the second game at 6 p.m. CT. These two teams split their four regular season tilts.
The double-elimination tournament will see the losers from Wednesday’s action play at Noon Thursday with the winner’s set to play at 6 p.m. CT later that evening.
Friday’s only scheduled game will take place at 4 p.m. CT and feature the winner from Thursday’s first game vs. the loser of the second tilt. The winner of Friday’s game advances to Saturday’s title game against the only remaining unbeaten team in the field at 1 p.m. CT. The “If Necessary” game would take place 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first game.
