VERMILLION, S.D. — University of South Dakota men's golf alum and assistant coach
Grant Campbell has been named the next head men's golf coach of the Coyotes, announced Tuesday morning by Athletic Director
Jon Schemmel.
"We are thrilled to name Grant as the next head coach of our men's golf program," said Schemmel. "It has been great watching him grow over the last few years and it is exciting to have one of our own taking over leadership of this program!"
Campbell joined the Coyotes coaching staff in the fall of 2023 as an assistant coach after a three-year career as a Coyote from 2013 to 2016. In his final year of competition for the Yotes, Campbell helped the squad finish in the top-5 in three tournaments in the 2015-16 season.
"I'm so excited to be the next men's golf coach at USD! Being back with the team the last few years has been so much fun thanks to the team that we have," said Campbell. "USD Golf has always held a special place in my heart, and I can't wait to get on the course with our guys and compete. Go Yotes!"
Campbell takes the reigns of the men's golf program after the departure of Chad Green.
A native of Waukee, Iowa, Campbell is a 2017 graduate of USD with a degree in economics.
