SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Oral Roberts’ Abraham Chelangam and Ossly Murambidzi picked up the season’s first Kwik Star Summit League Cross Country Peak Performer of the Week honors, league officials announced Tuesday. Both Golden Eagle runners put together top-five finishes at the Bob Timmons XC Classic to open their respective campaigns.
 
Chelangam won the men’s 6K individual title with a time of 17:54.11. His victory helped the Golden Eagles to a first-place team finish, ranking two points ahead of Power 4-foe Kansas.
 
Murambidzi paced the Golden Eagles to a second-place team finish in the women’s race. The Oral Roberts sophomore crossed the finish fourth after clocking a personal-best 5K time of 18:27.82.
