SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Just three weeks remain until the opening tip of the 2026 Summit League Women’s Basketball Championship at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls, S.D.
This week’s slate offers multiple chances for teams to climb the standings and concludes Sunday with an in-state rivalry matchup between North Dakota State and North Dakota, set for a 1 p.m. CT tipoff in Grand Forks.
Riding a 20-game winning streak and an 11-0 league record, North Dakota State returned to receiving votes in the AP Top 25 while holding steady at No. 1 in the CollegeInsider Mid-Major Top 25.
The week opens tonight with a pair of matchups as Omaha visits Denver and Oral Roberts travels to St. Thomas, with both games tipping at 7 p.m. CT.

AROUND THE LEAGUE
• North Dakota State extended its win streak to 20 games with dominant road wins over Kansas City (74-49) and Omaha (102-51), garnering votes in this week’s AP Top 25 poll.
• The 20-game winning streak is NDSU’s longest since the 2004-05 season, when the Bison won 24 straight at the Division II level, and currently ranks as the second-longest active streak in the nation behind UConn (41).
• Sophomore guard Marisa Frost netted a career-high 29 points in the win over KC, draining all five of her triples in the first half.
• Against Omaha, the Bison reached the 100-point scoring plateau for the first time since NDSU’s 107-80 win at UND in 2024.
• South Dakota earned its fourth straight win after a road sweep of Denver (53-42) and Oral Roberts (74-69).
• With the win over DU, USD moved to 9-0 when allowing less than 50 points in a game this season.
• Senior Angelina Robles matched her career high with 28 points and Patience Williams added 19 as the Yotes avenged an earlier-season loss to ORU.
• South Dakota State senior Madison Mathiowetz, a Minnesota native, paced the Jacks with a game-high 21 points in an 84-51 road win over St. Thomas.
• Preseason Player of the Year Brooklyn Meyer eclipsed 500 points this season, becoming the second player in program history to reach the 500-point mark in three different seasons.
• On Friday, Feb. 6, Meyer was named a top-10 candidate for the Lisa Leslie National Center of the Year award by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
• Two weeks ago, Head coaches Aaron Johnston (SDSU) and Jory Collins (NDSU) were named to the Midseason Watch List for the 2026 Kathy Delaney-Smith Mid-Major Coach of the Year Award.
• Oral Roberts had three players score in double figures but fell in its lone game of the week at South Dakota.
• Freshman Kayten Donley led the Golden Eagles in scoring with 16 points on 6-of-12 shooting.
• St. Thomas used a strong fourth quarter to mount a six-point comeback and upend Denver 60-56 on the road Saturday afternoon.
• Forward Alyssa Sand notched her seventh double-double of the season with 13 points and a career-high 13 rebounds in the win.
• Teammate Jada Hood added a team-high 14 points and four steals against the Pioneers.
• Kansas City fell short in its homestand against North Dakota State and North Dakota (68-58) this past week.
• KC guard Elauni Bennett scored 12 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to record her seventh double-double of the season in the loss to UND.
• Denver’s losing streak extended to four games following losses to USD and UST.
• Sophomore guard Coryn Watts led the Pioneers with 15 points against the Coyotes, while junior guard Jocelyn Medina paced Denver with 13 points versus the Tommies.
• North Dakota picked up its sixth win of the season and first on the road by defeating Kansas City on Saturday.
Graduate Mackenzie Hughes and sophomore Sydney Piekny (career-high) led UND with 18 points a piece, while Ava Miller grabbed a team-high 14 boards.
• Omaha secured its first league victory and first Division I win of the season with a 58-54 triumph over UND last Thursday.
• Freshman Avril Smith dominated the paint for the Mavs, posting 15 points and 20 rebounds in the win for her second straight double-double.
