Quartet of repeat honorees claim Kwik Star #SummitOTF weekly honors

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – A quartet of multiple-time honorees earned the latest Summit League Outdoor Track and Field Kwik Star Peak Performer of the Week accolades, League officials released Tuesday.

For the third straight week a South Dakota pole vaulter claimed the women’s field award as Anna Willis earned her second of the outdoor season. She better her season best mark by more than a foot to take third in the elite section at the 66th Mt. Sac Relays after clearing 14-11” (4.66m).

The Colorado Springs, Colo., native now ranks fourth nationally in the event and tops the Summit League charts. She now has a pair of weekly honors and six for her career, including indoor competitions.
 
North Dakota’s Jadyn Keeler now has 11th weekly honors to her credit, including five outdoor ones after she broke school record and set personal bests in the 5,000 meters and 1,500 meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
 
The Barries, Ontario native clocked 15:26.98 in the 5,000 meters to place seventh among collegians in one of the top distance fields in the country. She also turned in a 4:19.41 in the 1,500 meters as she tops the Summit League charts in both races so far this season.

On the men’s side, Oral Roberts’ Jordan Wenger has now set the school record in the high jump this season in both indoor and outdoor events. He cleared 7-03” (2.21m) to win the Pitt State Tune-up and now ranks fourth nationally in the event and leads the Summit League.
 
South Dakota State’s Cody Larson also placed high in an ultra-competitive field in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Bryan Clay Invitational. He placed fifth among collegians with a personal best time of 8:29.94.
 
The Warner, S.D., native also established a new personal best in the 1,500 meters with a time of 3:40.37, which is second among Summit League runners this season.
