MARANA, Ariz. – The North Dakota State men's golf team finished their first team NCAA Regional Championship appearance since 2018 at The Gallery Golf Club on Wednesday afternoon.
Carter White (78-75-71—224) led the Bison in the final day of the event. The freshman carded his only subpar round of the tournament, firing five birdies and nine pars to end -1 on the day. White climbed 11 spots up the leaderboard to finish in a tie for 58
th at +8 overall.
Rylin Petry (75-70-72—217) was the top NDSU golfer for the regional. Petry picked up two birdies and a team high 14 holes at par to finish the final day with a round of even-par. Petry landed in a tie for 38
th at +1 overall.
Andrew Ballou (76-70-76—222) and Jake Skarperud (78-74-76—228) carded the final scoring rounds for the Bison. Ballou logged one birdie on hole eight with 13 pars to finish +4 on the day and +6 overall in a tie for 53
rd. Skarperud tabbed a pair of birdies in the back nine to also finish +4 in the final round, landing +12 overall in a tie for 69
th.
Gabe Benson (74-75-77—226) wrapped up the Bison golfers for the event. Benson recorded birdies on holes 9 and 11 with 11 holes at par. The senior finished tied for 61
st at +10 overall.
NDSU (303-289-295—887) carded a round of +7 on the final day to finish in 14
th place at +23 overall.
