SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Omaha senior Katie Ruge and Denver senior Jack Dozer were named the Kwik Star #SummitGF Peak Golfers of the Week, League officials announced Thursday. Ruge earned the women’s accolade while Dozer collected the men’s award. Both student-athletes garnered the honor for the fourth time in their respective careers.

Ruge carded rounds of 68, 77, and 68 en route to a first-place finish at 3-under-par, helping Omaha secure its first team title of the year at the Big O Classic to round out the fall campaign. The win marks Ruge’s second of the season and third of her career with Omaha. The Omaha, Neb., native won the 54-hole tournament by a staggering seven strokes with Maverick teammate Emily Karmazin (+4) finishing as runner-up. Ruge led the 56-player field in par-4 (4.04) and par-5 (4.67) scoring averages.

Dozer rebounded from an opening round 76 (+4) to post an even-par 72 in round two and a career-low 67 (-5) in the finale to claim a tie for 26th at the Pacific Invitational. The Phoenix, Ariz., native was the lone Pioneer to finish the 54-hole tournament under par, carding seven birdies in his final lap to bring his tournament total to 14. Wrapping up the fall season, Dozer pushed Denver to a 10^th place finish out of a tough 17-team field.
