SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – St. Thomas’ Kathryn VanArragon and South Dakota’s Jack Holtz were selected #SummitGF Peak Golfers of the Week, League officials announced Thursday. Holtz finished second at the Kemper Lakes Intercollegiate while VanArragon finished ninth at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational.

VanArragon continued her successful start to the season by finishing ninth individually to lead the Tommies to a sixth-place team finish. Over three rounds, VanArragon went 10-over 223 (72-75-76) in a tough individual field. She led the UST in the first round and was second-best for the Purple in the second and third rounds as she continued her consistent fall.

This is VanArragon’s fourth weekly honor of the season and sixth overall after winning one in 2024-25 and two in 2023-24.

Holtz finished second at the Kemper Lakes Intercollegiate, leading South Dakota to a runner-up finish among 12 teams. Holtz finished at even-par 216, posting rounds of 72, 68 and 76. His second round of four-under 68 was the lowest round of the tournament by a Coyote golfer and helped move him into contention for the individual title.

This is Holtz’s first weekly accolade of the year and South Dakota’s second.
