SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – St. Thomas’ Kathryn VanArragon and South Dakota State’s Jake Olson were tabbed #SummitGF Peak Golfers of the Week, League officials announced Thursday. Olson collected his first collegiate victory while VanArragon picked up her second consecutive individual title.
 
VanArragon picked up her second straight and fourth career individual title at the Redbird Invitational in Normal, Ill. She led the team to the Tommies’ second consecutive team title. In the 78-golfer field, VanArragon shot 72-68-73 through three rounds for 213 (-3) and finished four strokes ahead of the runner-up to be the only one to finish under par.
 
This is VanArragon’s second weekly honor of the season and fifth overall after winning one in 2024-25 and two in 2023-24.
 
Olson won the individual title at the Wildcat Invitational in Manhattan, Kan. as he carded a 211 (-5) over three rounds. In the final two rounds, he carded a 69 (-3) in the second round and 70 (-2) in the third to cement the victory. Olson notched 15 birdies across the tournament. He is also the first individual champion for the Jackrabbits since Tyler Seeling tied for first at the 2025 Summit League Championship.
 
This is Olson’s first honor of the season.

WOMEN’S PEAK GOLFER OF THE WEEK

• Led the Tommies to a second straight team title at the event as well.
• This is the fifth career Summit League weekly honor for VanArragon.
