SDSU’s Olson Selected #SummitGF Weekly Honoree

Olson wins second tournament of the season

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State’s Jake Olson claimed #SummitGF Peak Golfer of the Week, League officials announced Thursday. Olson won his second tournament of the season, earning the individual crown while helping the team also win the Zach Johnson Invitational.

Olson won the Zach Johnson Invitational on Tuesday en route to South Dakota State winning the team crown in the tournament hosted by Drake. Olson finished with an eight-under 205 three-round scorecard. His 205 matches the best 54-hole scorecard in program history. This is the junior’s second individual crown of the season after winning Kansas State’s Wildcat Invitational earlier this fall, making him the second Jackrabbit in the Division I era and first since 2013-14 to win multiple events in a singular season.
