SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Denver sophomore Logan Hale and Kansas City sophomore Mason Haley claimed the latest Kwik Star #SummitGF Peak Golfer of the Week awards, League officials announced Thursday. Hale earned the women’s accolade for the second time this season while Haley secured the men’s award for the third time of his career.
Hale recorded her first top-five finish of the season at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate, firing back-to-back rounds of 70 (-2) before closing with a 71 (-1) to finish tied for fifth with a 54-hole total of 211 (-5). The Erie, Colo., native’s pair of opening 70s marked her season lows and helped propel the Pioneers to a fourth-place team finish. Hale carded four birdies in each of the first two rounds and added two more on the final day to finish the event with 10.
Haley recorded an opening-round 73 (+1) before posting back-to-back, season-low scores of 65 to capture medalist honors at the Grier Jones Shocker Invitational. Haley guided the Roos to a share of the team title, marking KC’s best finish of the season. The Enid, Okla., native finished with a 54-hole total of 203 (-13) to win the event by four strokes. A 2024-25 All-Summit League First Team member, Haley registered 18 birdies throughout the tournament including an eagle in his closing lap.
