SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Denver’s Jessica Maeda, Kaitlin Calvery, Dylan Wright and Zyad Morsy have been recognized as the 2024-25 Summit League Swimmers and Divers of the Year, league officials announced Thursday. Selected by a vote of the league’s head coaches, the honors reflect the student-athletes’ exceptional performances throughout the season.
Maeda claimed her second career Women’s Swimmer of the Year award, marking the 12th consecutive year a Pioneer has earned the honor. On the diving side, teammate Calvery was named Women’s Diver of the Year, becoming the fifth Denver women’s athlete in six seasons to receive the accolade
Wright secured his first career Men’s Swimmer of the Year distinction, while Zyad Morsy continued his dominance in diving, earning his third consecutive Men’s Diver of the Year title. Morsy becomes the first male diver to achieve three straight of-the-year honors since Western Illinois’ Ben Spence accomplished the feat from 1998 to 2001.
