Women's Soccer - August 21

Denver women's soccer secured a big win on the Road

Denver women's soccer traveled down to Texas and secured a 3-2 ranked win against No. 24 Texas A&M. 

Men's Soccer - September 16

Denver men's soccer reaches new heights 

The Denver Men’s Soccer team was ranked No. 1 in the national poll for the second time in program history, and the first time since October 8 2018.

NDSU freshman wins Offensive player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year

NDSU Freshman Morgan Russmann became the first Summit League player to be named Offensive Player of the Year and Newcomer of the year after leading the Bison to their first regular season title since the program won back-to-back titles in 2015 and 2016. 

Women’s Cross Country - November 2

North Dakota State's Baesler takes home the #SummitXC Crown

NDSU’s Reagan Baesler won the Summit League women’s cross country title and Championship MVP honor with a 6k time of 20:34.04. The time ranks second all-time in Summit League Cross Country Championship history.

Women’s Volleyball - November 2

South Dakota State is the final undefeated team in the country

South Dakota State registered its 22nd consecutive win to open the season at Kansas City and earned the title of the last remaining undefeated team in Division I Volleyball.

Men's Cross Country - November 2

Oral Roberts earned the program’s first individual crown at #SummitXC Championships since 2008

Oral Roberts Abraham Chelangam broke the cross-country championship record with a time of 23:41 to become the first golden eagle to win the championship since 2008.

 Men's & Women's Cross Country - November 2

South Dakota State men extend League record, women capture third crown in five years

 The South Dakota State men's cross country team captured its ninth-consecutive championship trophy, earning the hardware over runner-up North Dakota State. Sophomore Carson Noecker was the highest placing Jackrabbit finishing in second with an 8K time of 23:51.87. Cody Larson, Josh Becker, and Eli Hall joined Noecker on the All Summit League First Team. The Jackrabbit women hoisted the trophy for the third time in five years. Courtney Stadter led the way finishing the 6k with a time of 20.59.88. Meghan Ford joined Stadter on the All Summit League First Team.

Women's Volleyball - November 7

Tommies down the undefeated Jackrabbits

St. Thomas Volleyball defeated South Dakota State, the final unbeaten team in the country in five sets. This marked the first time that the Tommies defeated the Jackrabbits in the programs history.

Women's Soccer - November 10

Jackrabbits are crowned #SummitWSOC Champions

The Jackrabbits claimed their second straight Summit League Women’s Soccer Championship title after defeating the Golden Eagles 3-1.

Men's Cross Country - November 15

Two athletes punched their ticket to the NCAA Championship to highlight the NCAA Cross Country Regional Meet

Oral Roberts' Abraham Chelangam and South Dakota State’s Carson Noecker clinched two of the four individual at-large bids to the NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships after strong performances at the Midwest Regionals in Peoria, Ill. Chelangam became the first Golden Eagle to earn a trip to NCAA Championships since 2009, while Noecker was the first Jackrabbit on the men’s side to earn a spot since 2016.

Men's Soccer - November 16

Kansas City takes down Denver in final seconds to win #SummitMSOC Championship

Elie Kisoka's 90th-minute goal lifted second-seeded Kansas City to a 2-1 victory over top-seeded Denver in the 2024 Summit League Men's Soccer Championship.Kisoka's game-winning strike came off a corner kick from Julien Le Bourdoulous, who set up both Roos' tallies in the program's first title-game victory since 2008.

South Dakota rallies to upset South Dakota State in five sets

South Dakota upset top seeded South Dakota State to win its fourth volleyball tournament in the past seven years. Kylen Sealock took home tournament MVP honors.

Volleyball - December 1

Two #SummitVB teams qualified for the NCAA Tournament

For the second time in league history, two programs qualified for the NCAA Tournament when South Dakota State joined automatic qualifier South Dakota in the 64-team field. The Jackrabbits earned an at-large bit after putting together its best year in program history after going 15-1 in Summit action and 27-3 overall.

Men's Soccer - December 2

Two #SummitMSOC teams advance to the final 16

Kansas City made the program's deepest NCAA Tournament run in history, advancing to the third round thanks to wins over Saint Louis and No. 15 seed Missouri State. No. 2 seed Pitt scored early in extra time in a third round matchup to down the Roos 3-2. This marked the first time in Summit League history that two teams advanced that far in any NCAA Team Sport Tournament as the Pioneers and Roos were among the final 16 teams in the field.

Volleyball - December 18

South Dakota State's Sylvie Zgonc collects AVCA All-America Honorable Mention accolades

South Dakota State sophomore Sylvie Zgonc has been named an All-America Honorable Mention selection as selected by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Zgonc, the Summit League Player of the Year, earns the honor for the first time in her career. 

Men's Soccer - December 16

Denver Men's Soccer advance to the College Cup 

Denver made its second appearance in the Men's Soccer College Cup before falling to Vermont in penalties after regulation ended in a 1-1 draw. The Pioneers matched the league’s deepest run in a NCAA Tournament by advancing to the semifinals.

Summit League men's soccer finished with the No. 2 RPI among all conferences in the country.
