SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota State was selected to take home the Summit League volleyball regular season title, garnering 62 points and six first-place votes in the preseason coaches' poll released Tuesday by league officials. The Jackrabbits, who will host the 2025 Volleyball Championship, won the regular season crown a season ago.
South Dakota State held a five-point advantage over South Dakota to claim the top spot in the poll voted on by the league's nine head coaches. The Yotes, who received the remaining three-place votes, beat out St. Thomas for the runner-up spot, finishing with 57 points.
The Tommie’s tallied 48 points to secure third. Omaha claimed fourth with 44 points, while Denver accumulated 36 points to place fifth.
North Dakota State (32) was predicted to finish sixth, while North Dakota (18) and Kansas City (16) were projected to finish seventh and eighth, respectively. Oral Roberts rounded out the poll in ninth with eleven points.
