SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State sophomore Avery Bartels and South Dakota State senior Tyler Seeling garnered the latest Kwik Star #SummitGF Peak Golfer of the Week accolades, League officials announced Thursday. Bartels earned her first career women’s award, while Seeling collected his second.
Avery Bartels recorded her third top-10 finish of the season with a tie for seventh place at the SoCal Spring Invitational. She assembled rounds of 72, 75 and 71 to finish with a 54-hole total of 218, while also helping NDSU finish with a share of fifth place out of 15 teams.
The Oxbow, N.D., native was consistent throughout the event, carding nine total birdies, including three in each round of the tournament.
Seeling shared runner-up at the Jackrabbits Invitational with a 54-hole total of 210 (-6), pacing all Summit League competitors in the field. He posted rounds of 69 (-3), 70 (-2) and 71 (-1) to help lead SDSU to the team title.
The Breezy Point, Minn., native carded 12 birdies across the tournament, tallying four in each round as he secured the second-place finish.
