SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – South Dakota junior Ella Greenberg and Denver junior Zander Grant were picked for the latest Kwik Star #SummitGF Peak Golfer of the Week honors, League officials announced Thursday. Greenberg earned her second career women’s award, while Grant garnered his first.
Greenberg captured the individual title at the Ozarks National Invitational, finishing at 4-over for the tournament. The Rockford, Ill., native turned in her best round in the final lap with a 69 (-3), helping secure the win.
The junior was strong throughout the event, playing the par-5 holes at a 4.87 average and ranking third amongst the field in total birdies.
Grant turned in a career-best performance at the Bell Bank “Pay It Forward” Collegiate, finishing tied for fifth at 5-under par. The junior carded rounds of 68, 70 and 73 to secure his top finish.
The Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., native also paced all Summit League competitors in the field, finishing ahead of golfers from Oral Roberts, North Dakota, St. Thomas, North Dakota State and Kansas City.
