SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – North Dakota State senior Rylin Petry was named the latest Kwik Star #SummitGF Peak Men’s Golfer of the Week, league officials announced Thursday. The honor is the fourth of his career and serves as the final weekly award of the season.
Petry led the way for the Bison at the Hawkeye Invitational, finishing fifth overall at 2-under par (214) and emerging as the top Summit League golfer on the individual leaderboard. The senior, who registered his third top-five finish of the season, posted a season-best round of 67 (-5) to close out the event and move up 17 spots in the overall standings.
The Fertile, Minn., native carded the second most birdies in the 75-player field with 13 and did not record a score worse than bogey across the three rounds. His performance helped North Dakota State finish fourth overall, which was tops among five Summit League teams in the 14-team field.
