SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The final week of Summit League softball regular season play has arrived, with Omaha securing the regular season title and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming championship.
The Mavericks sit at 13-1 in league play with one series remaining at South Dakota. The series opens tonight at 3 p.m. CT, followed by a 3 p.m. CT game on Friday and the regular season finale on Saturday at noon CT.
St. Thomas sits comfortably in second place in the standings and needs one win in its home series against North Dakota this weekend to secure the No. 2 seed.
Rounding out the regular season, South Dakota State visits North Dakota State, with the series opening tonight at 4 p.m. CT. The Jackrabbits sit fifth in the standings, while the Bison are third.

AROUND THE LEAGUE
• Omaha was crowned back-to-back regular season champions following last week’s action for the first time in program history
• The Mavericks were ranked No. 3 in this week’s D1 Softball mid-major rankings.
• Taylor Sedlacek leads the league with 15 home runs and 33 walks, while Bailey Sample (.393) and Sammy Schmidt (1.180 OPS) continue to pace the offense.
