For the second time, two league teams will make an appearance in the NCAA Volleyball Tournament

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. –For the second time in Summit League history, two teams will represent the league in the NCAA Tournament as announced Sunday evening by the selection committee. The South Dakota Coyotes will open their NCAA Tournament with No. 2 Creighton, while the South Dakota State Jackrabbits earned the program's first-ever at-large bid and will open the tournament with No. 8 Miami.

The 2024 Summit League champion South Dakota (21-9) will see Creighton (29-2) Thursday, Dec. 5 in Omaha, Neb., at 7 p.m. CT. The Coyotes are in the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time in the school's Division I history after defeating South Dakota State in a five-set thriller in the Summit League championship match. Creighton is the Big East Conference champion and enters the tournament as the No. 2 seed in the 64-team tournament.

South Dakota State (27-2) earned its first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2007 after a historic season, having swept 13 matches on the year and earned a program-best 22-match win-streak. The Jackrabbits will face No. 8 seed Miami (21-10) in Lincoln, Neb., at 4:30 p.m. CT on Friday, Dec. 6.
